I have seven years of experience collaborating on research teams studying: excess mortality, reporting of COVID-19 deaths, structural bias in the death investigation system, Alzheimer’s disease and related dementias, sexual and gender minority health, novel tobacco and nicotine products, alcohol addiction, chronic pain, racialized health inequities, rural health, post-consumer textile waste, and other topics.
I am available as a contractor or part-time employee to help research projects become publication-ready by completing unfinished analyses and/or writing and ensuring work is relevant, impactful, and tailored.
I am well-positioned to lead or assist with: (1) quantitative and qualitative data analysis and coding, (2) scientific writing and research translation, (3) grant-writing, (4) data visualization and storytelling, (5) dissemination products, and (6) media, art and advocacy collaborations.
My Google Scholar profile highlights my prior publications, many of which appear in highly ranked journals such as American Journal of Public Health, JAMA Pediatrics, the Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences, and Science Advances. I have experience working with electronic health records data, claims, vital statistics, and numerous national health surveys. My past work has also included commentaries and opinion pieces, investigative journalism collaborations, and data-driven art advocacy projects.
