Summary:
This working paper presents an autoethnography of my predominantly Scandinavian and Irish ancestors, their history as white settlers on lands dispossessed from the Dakota people in what is now Minnesota, and their assimilation into whiteness. It also introduces the Lundberg-McMahon Redistribution Initiative as one concrete action that attempts to repair some of this settler history. It is published on my independent platform, Ableism & Healthcare Now.
